Tribal Nations have stewarded the Bears Ears region for generations and continue to guide its care today through collaborative management, Traditional Indigenous Knowledge, and long-term stewardship.
Laughing for Land brought community together in Albuquerque through Indigenous comedy, creating space for healing, kinship, and shared understanding of Bears Ears.
With the management plan complete, the focus at Bears Ears is on day-to-day care, coordination, and stewardship guided by Tribal leadership and carried out in collaboration with federal agencies.
